One recurring theme in the Lab is the process of harnessing and controlling the various systems including temperature, light, moisture, and biota to name a few.
The ability to control such systems allows farmers to produce desired results with less time and inputs. The Earth Cube is a perfect example. When leveraged properly, the Earth Cube can produce finished compost in a fraction of the time of the traditional outside static pile.
The secret is to understand the conditions and input ratio of carbon and nitrogen that allows for the process to complete as efficiently as possible. Controlling temperature, airflow, and moisture make that possible in the Earth Cube.
Compare the Earth Cube to Mother Nature in a head-to-head composting battle. Using identical inputs, manage the two process simultaneously to see if the can actually produce a finished product more quickly.
