Compost tea is a simple solution of water, compost, molasses, and some oxygen that can produce dramatic effects in the garden.
Though the ingredient list is short and sweet this tea is not. It’s rich and earthy and is loaded with nutrients and bacteria extracted from the compost. As the bacteria feed in this perfect environment their numbers bloom.
The application of thousands of bacteria and a plethora of nutrients give plants a boost and develop the biota of the soil increasing plant production.
Perform an A/B test on two sets of plants of the same variety in the raised planter or garden bed. Supplement one with compost tea regularly and the other with nothing during the life cycle.
What is the impact on growth habit? What about total yield? The root development? And what impact did compost tea have on the soil surrounding the roots? Analyze soil samples to uncover what you can.
