Good years, bad years. That applies to almost everything, doesn’t it? Well, it certainly applies to rainfall on an annual basis. Some years are very dry while others produce devastating flooding from rain and runoff.
So how can you adequately plan for both the good and bad times? What would your system design need to look like to capture rain in times of abundance and store it for use in times of need?
Consider your future needs. Estimate the number of gallons needed if you Lab doubled its production capacity.
Discuss how your new system can be expanded to provide for a growing Edible Learning Lab.
Develop a plan to expand your capacity to meet your future needs based on this assumption, your collection potential, and average annual rainfall for your area.
