Can We Drink It?
The use of chlorine, and more recently hypochlorite, to treat municipal water supplies began in 1908. Disinfecting the water has reduced water-borne illnesses like cholera, dysentery, and typhoid fever dramat-ically.
But is there a cost? How does the presence of chlorinated water in the human gut impact the good bacteria there? Is there an alternative treatment for municipal water supplies that might be viable?
Research the topic online and make a case for or against chlorination.
